The City

The City is the historic centre of London - originally Londinium, founded by the Romans in 47AD. Greater London since sprawled outwards to make the megacity we know today. The “Square Mile” has the architecture to show for its 2,000 year history. Over the past year I’ve been painting the miso-mash of architecture around the City, from Tudor gateways to glass skyscrapers. I hope you enjoy the series.
